Atmosphere For The Holy Spirit

Can we just stop a think on how much God loves us. Instead of staring at our phones all day, lets talk to God or read our Bible. Instead of looking at Instagram for the next hour, open that Bible app and ask the Lord to lead your hands to a specific passage. We constantly search to be filled by the world, but we are still empty. We tell ourselves, "I am happy with myself and my life" but deep down we know something is still missing. We are missing a deep walk with the Holy Spirit. You might be reading this, being raised in church since birth, and still not know who He is. He is God. He is not a whirl of fog or a ghostly image. He is extremely sensitive. He only sticks around if the atmosphere is made welcome for Him. He will not be dwelling in a bar or a tattoo parlor. This next comment will most likely offend some of you, but I am still going to say it. He does not dwell in a car, blasting explicit rap music. He is grieved when He hears all of the horrible cursing and noise. Lets not grieve the Holy Spirit, lets welcome Him and create an atmosphere that He loves to live in!

"And grieve not the Holy Spirit..." -Ephesians 4:30
